Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Tapping out. (the "Platform"), a local services directory that connects clients with independent home maintenance and care professionals ("Providers"). By creating an account, listing a business, or booking a service through the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.

• Tapping out. is a marketplace directory that helps clients discover and contact Providers. We are not a party to any agreement between a client and a Provider.
• The actual service is performed by the Provider, who is an independent contractor — not an employee, agent, or partner of Tapping out.
• We do not guarantee the quality, timing, legality, or outcome of any service arranged through the Platform.
• Any booking made through the Platform creates a direct relationship between you and the Provider.

• Providers pay a recurring listing fee of $29.99 CAD per month, billed through Stripe, to keep their business visible on the Platform.
• The subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. Providers can cancel anytime from the Provider Dashboard via Stripe's self-serve portal.
• Monthly payments are non-refundable. Full billing, cancellation, and refund details are set out in our Subscription Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
• Payment processing is handled by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms and authorize recurring charges to your payment method.

• Booking a service through the Platform is a request, not a confirmed contract. The Provider must accept or confirm the booking before any service is performed.
• Any pricing, scheduling, or service details are arranged directly between the client and the Provider.
• Clients are responsible for providing accurate contact and address information when booking.

• A "Verified" badge indicates that a Provider has submitted documentation that we have reviewed. Verification does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of a Provider's work.
• We may, at our discretion, suspend or remove listings that violate these Terms or our safety standards. See our Safety & Liability page for more information.

• You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and to provide accurate, current information.
• You must not misuse the Platform, including harassing other users, submitting false information, or attempting to disrupt its operation.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

• The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that listings, bookings, or Provider information are accurate, complete, or reliable.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tapping out. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform or from any service arranged through it.
• Any dispute regarding a service is solely between the client and the Provider. Our aggregate liability for any claim related to the Platform itself is limited to the fees you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active users by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
